On Tuesday, September 30, 2014, DuPont and Widener University School of Law will be holding the 2014 Intellectual Property Continuing Legal Education Seminar at the DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware. The full-day seminar will include a lecture on ethics by Professor David Hricik, a noted author, speaker, and expert on ethical issues in intellectual property law.
On Thursday, October 2, 2014, from 1:00-2:30 pm (EDT), Strafford will be offering a webinar/teleconference entitled “Conflicts in Patent Prosecution: Minimizing Risks of Malpractice Liability and Ethics Sanctions.” The webinar will provide guidance to IP counsel on ethical conflicts in patent prosecution and outline best practices to minimize the risks of bar discipline and malpractice liability.
From October 9-11, 2014, the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association and University of Houston Law Center will be sponsoring the 30th Annual Institute on Intellectual Property Law at the Moody Gardens Hotel and Convention Center in Galveston, Texas. Among the many fine speakers at this seminar will be Professor Lisa A. Dolak from Syracuse University College of Law. Professor Dolak, an expert and frequent speaker on intellectual property ethics, will be presenting on “The Duty of Candor in Post-Issuance Proceedings.”
